Women & Strategic Leadership: How to Maximize Executive Talent

  • Dates / Location: Dates Pending, Available In-House

Despite the fact that women comprise half of the US workforce, they account for less than four percent of the nation’s business executives. The seminar is designed to increase awareness about how leadership is influenced by both gender and organizational culture. Participants will examine the role of organizational culture and its impact on leadership. Personal leadership style will be identified and participants will become aware of leadership issues and challenges confronting female leaders. Strategies that facilitate success will also be advanced.

Through contemporary case studies, experiential activities, and discussion, participants become more knowledgeable about the influence of organizational culture on leadership. They also become aware of the prevailing perceptions, stereotypes, and behaviors associated with female leadership. Organizational culture characteristics are discussed, leader related dilemmas are presented, and participants will provide insights and solutions to the dilemmas.

Participants return to the workplace with increased knowledge about the challenges as well as benefits associated with female leadership. Participants will also have an individual action plan for improving leader effectiveness.
